What is osteopathy?
Osteopaths are experts for the holistic view of humans.
Osteopathy is an independent, holistic and manual treatment method. It is characterized by the promotion and support of self-healing powers.
The holistic claim is based on the inclusion of all human systems (structural-functional, visceral, craniosacral).
- The "structural-functional system" includes the entire musculoskeletal system (e.g., spine, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments).
- The "visceral system" deals with mobility limitations of internal organs. In addition to the possible dysfunction in each organ, dysfunctions in distant areas (e.g., spine) can also be resolved.
- The "craniosacral system" is used to treat the fine motor function of the tissue around the nervous system.
